Creative Photography Master Class, Eastern Sierra with Guy Tal
October 9-11, 2017| $995 per person
The Eastern Sierra offers some of the most beautiful and unique scenery anywhere in the world. Because of its remoteness, this area is not as heavily visited as some popular National Parks, thus offering great photographic opportunities and experiences. We will spend 3 days in the Lee Vining area and visit Mono Lake, as well as one or more of the adjacent canyons (depending on conditions).
The process of making an expressive image involves creativity, proper field technique (both in operating the camera and in identifying effective compositions), as well as image processing skills. Jack & Guy will review their workflow and production methods, developed through many years of experience, both in the field and in the studio. This is a hands-on, in-depth learning and growing experience for photographers who are already familiar with the operation of their cameras (we will not spend time on basic photography skills), and are looking to expand their composition and processing techniques. The class covers everything from seeing images in the field to processing images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
We have no doubt you’ll come away with lots of new ideas for improving your photographs, as well as some wonderful images from this amazing location. If you are a serious photographer, this is one experience you will not want to miss.
NOTE: We will meet at 6pm October 8, 2017 at Murphy’s Motel in Lee Vining, California to discuss our master class itinerary and prepare to get started at sunrise on Tuesday morning. This will be a relativity small group in order to get the most out of our time together.
We offer a $145 discount to those who also attend our October 5-8, 2017 Eastern Sierra Workshop.
Transportation is not included in the workshop cost. We will car pool as much as possible during the field portions of the workshop.
More details regarding travel, what to bring, and accommodation will be sent to you after registration. Accommodation is not included in the workshop cost. Click here if you want to know what we’ll be working on, and click here for general information on what to bring.
