Oregon Coast Masterclass

I’m limiting this event to 4 attendees to have ample one-on-one time on location as well as in our classroom setting. This is a very special workshop for ADVANCED PHOTOGRAPHERS. You must have a complete understanding of the technical side of your cameras and the limitations of your lenses. Yes, we’ll be taking technical information into account but this workshop is more about learning to see and communicate your personal style thorough your images. If you feel you are NOT at this level, you probably won’t get what you want from this workshop.
We will be working the area in and around Bandon, Oregon. This workshop will be an intense 3 days of total immersion into photographing the beaches and harbors of this beautiful area. We will study and evaluate our work, then return to improve our image making.
WHAT WILL WE BE WORKING ON?
We will spend lots of time discussing and practicing the art of concept and visualization prior to making the image. We will develop adding emotion and drama to our images on a very intense scale. It will not be unusual to visit a location 2-3 times, improving our work as we go.

- Learn to include your personal feeling, emotion and inner self in each image
- Developing your skills in finding and seeing, then creating your image
- What goes into making a “Fine Art” image rather than a post card
IMAGE REVIEW: We carry a laptop, a projector, screen and monitor with us (just in case). We take time each day review our work. This is one of the most important things that we do—instant information and critique is invaluable.
If the light or weather lends itself to some exceptional photography, we’ll take advantage of the conditions. Basically, we will be flexible.
PLEASE BRING A THUMB DRIVE AND YOUR LAPTOP TO PREPARE IMAGES FOR REVIEW.
We will meet at the Sunset Ocean Front Lodging motel in Bandon Beach the night of August 9 to go over our goals for the days ahead.
More details regarding travel, what to bring, and accommodation will be sent to you after registration. Accommodation is not included in the workshop cost.
