The Columbia River Gorge
March 15-18, 2018 | $1195 per person
NOTE: NO DEPOSIT is required for this workshop
The backdrop for the Columbia River Gorge Photo Workshop is one of the most picturesque areas in the lower 48 states. We’ll visit some of my favorites spots as well as some secret locations I’ve discovered over the years. Some in the gorge, some close by!
Besides the rich plant life and dense forests, the biggest attraction is the magnificent waterfalls on the Columbia River Gorge. In less than a one-hour drive east of Portland, you will be in one of the most prolific waterfall areas in the world. Some of these falls drop over 550 feet! We will also drive further east toward Hood River, up the gorge to the rich farmland areas toward Mount Hood. It is common to have fantastic sunsets along the Columbia River.
We will be in the field shooting all day during this workshop, from sunrise to sunset. Although the workshop officially starts at sunrise on Thursday, March 15, we’ll have a short meet and greet session on the evening of March 14 (6 pm) at the Radisson Hotel (6233 Northeast 78th Court, Portland, OR 97218 (503)-251-2000) at the Portland Airport, then get some much needed rest before venturing out very early the next morning. I recommend arriving no later than the afternoon of Wednesday, March 14.
More details regarding travel, what to bring, and accommodation will be sent to you after registration. Accommodation is not included in the workshop cost. Click here if you want to know what we’ll be working on, and click here for general information on what to bring.
