Workshop Overview

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

For over 14 years, J Graham / photography, (Jack Graham) has been conducting photo workshops. My primary goal is to offer quality workshops and deliver what I promise, that being to help each participant develop and enhance his / her artistic ability. We concentrate on photographic  technique, composition, learning to see and developing  your vision. Personal attention as well as group discussions allow everyone to participate and work intensely at his/her own speed.

Workshops offer a wide variety of formats to meet the interests of photographers of all levels.

These workshops combine an intense learning experience with the joy of nature photography.

I have rather simple guidelines that I follow:
  • Workshops are rather small in size for maxim individual attention. If there are more than 8-10 attendees I hire another qualified instructor  in order to keep the attendee to leader ratio acceptable.
  • Workshops are for all types of photography, digital, film, even more basic point & shoot photographers (I’ve even had some folks with movie cameras!)
  • Explanations and examples  are given throughout the workshop. I am always available for problem solving!
  • Follow up critiques either during the workshop as well as later via email or telephone are available and always encouraged.
  • Workshops are held in areas that provide sonic grander to provide inspiration and challenge.
  • All participents receive my 50 page "Workshop Field Notes" PDF file that recaps all we discuss in the field.

The atmosphere is my workshops are informal but serious. These are creative working sessions. Our emphasis is on your photography, not ours.

Programs vary, but most are planned to spend the maximum time in the field. The hours are long. The day can be tiring, but the results will be rewarding.

Who should attend?

Workshops have successfully mixed everyone from beginner to professional. Your level of enthusiasm for photography and the natural world is far more important than your level of expertise. I do ask that you are in reasonability good health and enjoy the companionship of small groups. Some reason to attend a workshop would be:

  • You would like a lot of individual instruction
  • You are interested in visiting a particular location with someone who knows the best time times.
  • You would like to rekindle your interest in photography
  • You would like to photograph with other photographers
  • You would like to spend time in a beautiful location as a relief of the stress of everyday life.
